Ray Solnik
President & CEO

Ray is responsible for leading the vision and overall efforts of the organization. In particular, he is currently focused on fundraising, property acquisition and partnering.
Ray is a 20+ year veteran of Silicon Valley and a committed long-term community service leader. He has been a senior executive at a number of technology businesses with impressive results.
He migrated his career from high tech to low tech and now owns a local chain of Great Clips haircutting shops throughout Silicon Valley.
Ray has served the community in many ways: from being a board member at United Way for twelve years to doing hands-on volunteering with low income citizens. He has a passion for serving those less fortunate by enabling them to help themselves. SoHSV’s goal is to provide a safe community where those currently living without shelter can live in peace, as productive members of society.
Ray earned his bachelor’s in economics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He lives in San Jose with his wife and dog.
He’s happy his two children have spread their wings and still visit regularly.
